The awards keep coming … Spring has picked up our second Gold award in a week!
The prize was awarded at the Corporate Engagement Awards run by Communicate, a trade magazine dedicated to the UK corporate communications community.
These awards celebrate organisations that seek to do good in their communities, while simultaneously benefiting the business itself. Judges chose the H2OMG! event we created for Anglian Water as their winner in the Best Stakeholder Communications category.
Other gold winners this year include BT, Warner Bros, Google, the BBC, Disney, Samsung and Natwest. The projects range from The Daily Mile children’s fitness programme (The Daily Mile and Media Zoo) to water-sensitive farming initiatives (WWF and Coca-Cola Foundation).
A particularly eye-catching winner was Publicis Sapient, who built a digital vending machine that doesn’t dispense food but sends it to food banks instead. It links directly to the food bank’s stock data and can update in real time to display what is needed the most at any time. People can buy the items with contactless technology and the food is delivered by an online food retailer.
When speaking about the winners, Communicate magazine’s Publishing Editor Brittany Golob noted they have ‘set the benchmark in sustainable development, collaborative partnerships, CSR initiatives and the communications surrounding them’.
We created H20MG! to support Anglian Water’s public consultation on measures to improve water resilience. In the middle of the summer holidays we set up a funfair themed event in Norwich, drawing in 21,000 active engagements over a week, more than two and a half times the target figure. As well as triumphing at the Corporate Engagement Awards, this project has won Gold at the DBA Design Effectiveness Awards and the Drum Cream Awards.
